BOOK REVIEW
I LIKE IT LIKE THAT - CECILY VON ZIEGESAR
BOOK RATING : 5/5!
Another book finished, and SO many things have changed in the storyline. I honestly don't even want to say that I know exactly how a character is going to act when they turn around and suprise me in the following book! The only thing I can sort of seem to count on happening is the fact that gilmoregirl is still anonymous and loving it. I love it too. No need to spoil all the fun!
So it seems Georgie is wilder than I thought. Nate saved her butt and all she can do is go around and party some more just like her old lifestyle and completely ignore Nate when he doesn't want to tag along and do the same. Honestly he can do better and I am very happy he's come to his senses that Blair is the girl for him. Please, oh please come to your senses for good and kiss her already!
The best thing of all to happen in this book was the hilarious accidental stripping at the Frick party. I just about laughed my butt off. Poor Serena and Blair though. They were just trying to get away from Chuck as fast as possible but their apparel just fell apart leaving them almost completely naked. I most certainly would've been humiliated for life.
I am so glad that Dan stopped being the horrible person he had turned into. Finally, he's seen the light and realized he's not a snooty famous poet who goes around cheating on their girlfriends and condescending other people's poetry. Thank God for that! Now, he and Vanessa can go back to where they left off hopefully!
I really have fallen in love with Jenny's new boyfriend, even if she hasn't. The whole time she thinks he's some rich boy but he's just a poor kid who runs errands, has old parents, and is wonderful with graphic art & design. I sense a kindred spirit in my midst and I truly wish Leo was not a fictional character so I could ask him out. Seriously, Jenny why would you ever let this one get away?
Vanessa's parents were a riot. I would certainly be embarassed too if I was related to them. One thing I can be happy about is my dad never dressed in women's wear and tennis shoes without socks. Even if my mom has never had that good of style, atleast she's doing much bettter in that department than Vanessa's mother. My goodness, those two shouldn't be taken outside of their own apartment!
I kind of felt bad for Serena in this book like I did for Blair in the book before. She seemed to be left out of everything, even hanging out with her brother. When she did get involved, it got her into deep trouble. Aka, Chuck and Georgie leaving her completely naked freezing in a snowy ditch with no way of getting out of the tobaggen. Thank God Nate happened to be walking by to hear her, otherwise she probably would have frozen to death. He really should get a new superhero name with all the people he's been saving lately....including himself.
I'm extremely eager to see if Blair is going to get into Yale. I hope she does. I think she's way too serious and she second guesses herself so much but I have faith that she'll be just fine. That girl does so much worrying it is ridiculous. Although, I'm glad she relaxed a little bit in the last chapter. Honestly, it was way overdue!
I fully support obsessions like Gossip Girl and I welcome you into the fold if you're not already in it. This particular book is very juicy and happening and you know you love it! So just pick it up already! *kiss kiss*
