October 21st is the worldwide day of GuluWalk.
Background: GuluWalk is an organization supporting the abandoned children of Uganda. Uganda has been in a 20 year conflict, and the people of Uganda are in need of help.
GuluWalk is trying to raise money, to help build a better life, and give education to these children; we're helping those that have been overlooked by the rest of the world.
U.N. Under-Secretary General of Humanitarian Affairs Jan Egeland has called the worlds most neglected humanitarian crisis and one of the biggest scandals of our generation.
So here's what to do:
- Get registered
- Get sponsored
- Walk with us on October 21st
It isn't necessary to be registered to march with us. If you can't make it, sponsor someone! Donate whatever you can!
This is worldwide, so even if you don't live in hampton roads, you can find the nearest city from you to get apart of.
