flyin' high on X

Today, I finally made it out to Six Flags Magic Mountain in LA.
Some of my new extended family went and I decided to go along.
I really must say, if you consider yourself a fan of rollercoasters,
you owe it to yourself to visit this place at least once.

They had about 15 coasters in all, including the glorious new Tatsu,
the mind-numbingly tall Goliath, and the duly infamous "X".

X was the first thing I rode, and in hindsight,
that was probably an unwise choice for my first coaster in years.
It was *easily* the most insane,
shit-your-pants-terrifying thrill ride I've ever been on.
About halfway through, I got used to it and began to enjoy it,
but the first half induced the most passionate string of profanity I've uttered in years.
It was definitely worth going on,
just know what you're getting yourself into should you choose to ride it, too.

My vote for favorite goes emphatically to Tatsu,
my first "flying" coaster, and my new favorite steel coaster,
as well as the site of the most intense loop in any ride I've ever experienced.
