This is now my second day in Hanoi and I'm really loving it. After meeting with Alex we spent the night in Miradoor Mansion, at a different guesthouse but same building as I did when I first went to Hong Kong.
The second day I bought a camera, we went and visited Tony at his university, we took a ferry to Macau then a plane to Bangkok. That night in Bangkok was really wonderful, infact, every day has been just awesome and so jam-packed full of memories that I wouldn't even know where to begin. Each day seems like three because of all that we are experiencing.
So my passport has a billion stamps now, so that's pretty cool :)
We're staying in a hotel in Hanoi that is run by a family. They're really nice and do everything to be accomodating to us. We booked a tour to Halong Bay tomorrow and I'm really looking forward to that.
Oh, it's so nice to have a camera. Everywhere I look I see people and things I want to photograph but I have to restrain myself much of the time in order to not be a freaky camera happy tourist.
There's no way I can write everything in this journal because I don't want to be spending all of my time on the internet. So I'm going to buy a notebook (I've had some issues with this but I'm hoping that today my luck will change) and write in there.
Hanoi is like no place I've ever seen. No reading or movie watching can prepare you for the craziness of this city. Everyone drives a motor bike and when you cross the street you can't stop and wait for there to be no traffic, you just have to start crossing slowly and let the bikes flow around you like blood cells in a blood vessel.
It's so cool here!!!! AHHHH!!!!!!
Oh, and the weather is not insanely hot, we've come at a good time. It's really a comfortable temperature and at night you really should wear a sweater.
Okelie, I guess that's it. I'll try to write more later :)
