NW New Works fest closes with a bang

"From the sweetly silly to the fast and furious, On the Boards' 25th Anniversary NW New Works Festival struck a range of moods on its closing weekend.
Danny Herter & The Invasive Species started Saturday's Mainstage Showcase off with a glorious bang (actually more of a caterwaul) with "Remote :: Control" - the Seattle choreographer's take on "the over-stimulating, toxifying effect of television on the psyche." Set to live music by two-man Portland noiseband Disjunct (crouched in opposite corners of the stage), the piece kept mischievously violating its own boob-tube reality.."
