The roll back has fussed with my sleep schedule a little, but my cough has greatly abated and my nose isn't so stuffed, so the quality of sleep has returned. Yay!
Spent much of today working on my unit of Pike & Shotte. I'm painting it up in reds, but there's a lot of details to get to (mostly belts and boots and gloves and the like) that, considering the unit consists of 20 figures, take some time to get to. Nearly done the unit, though. Just a couple more touchups and I can base and flock them.
Recently finished up the Eisenhorn omnibus and the Gaunt's Ghosts omnibus. I've returned to reading Keegan's Face of Battle, and making better progress this time. I think I need to remember to space out the history books with fiction books to keep fresh.
The Pacific was very well done. A little more disjointed than Band of Brothers, naturally enough, given it follows not a single unit, but rather three very different men. It was very effective in conveying the different kind of horror of the war in the Pacific, and I found the last couple episodes very emotional to watch.
