30 Wives and Daughters Icons
Every now and then I get a request for a single icon which then, quite on its own, evolves into a larger project. In this case I had a request for an icon of Roger and Molly from Wives and Daughters holding hands.
The dvd of the film was actually given to me as a birthday gift by the same person who requested the icon (yay evester!) and since I am totally in love with Anthony Howell it was a very nice surprise.
The film sports a very fine cast, including Ian Charmichael (better known as BBC's first Lord Peter), Michael Gambon (the new Dumbledore), Tom Hollander (Lord Cutler Becket or Mr. Collins (P&P, 2005), Penelope Wilson (Mrs. Gardiner (P&P, 2005) as well as Rosamund Pike (Jane (P&P, 2005). There are some fantastic sets, locations and costumes so it's a bit of a feast for the eyes. And while Elizabeth Gaskell's story isn't on the same level as an Austen or Bronte novel (at least for me), this is an interesting story and I know a lot of people are rather fond of it =)
