5 July (Teusday) before school

Kenshin was getting ready for school, and thinking of the day before...

After Kazuya and his friends had had their fun Kenshin had decided for certain that he would enact revenge. He wouldn't get anyone else involved, not even Chii, because as long as Kazuya was after him, he would be too busy to bother anyone else, hopefully. The pranks hadn't bothered him too much, as he figured he was still alive, and therefore had reason to be happy, and being shunned was something he was used to. He has spent most of his life trying to hide in the background. He had gone home as quickly as he could and changed out of his P.E. clothes, which he was still wearing for lack of a uniform, into something more suited for travel. His father gave him an impressive weekly allowance, and Kenshin normally had nothing to spend it on, so he had quite a lot of money to make the world go 'round, and now he had something to do with it. He didn't even need to spend his own money on a uniform, because his father would buy him one without so much as a complaint...

He had traveled Tokyo in search of various things he would need for the next day. First he had picked up a satchel, so that he could carry his books and clothes and stuff around with him where he knew it would be safe. Then he had found a prank shop where he picked up various tools, toys, and general prank stuff. After that, he scoured Tokyo in search of the perfect Badge of Honor. And he found it...

Kenshin liked the color black and had worn nothing else for a while. He had two black long coats, one was a trench coat that was pointless unless it was cold outside, and the other was a hand-made cloak of a light enough material that it could be worn in summer heat and had really neat effects in the wind. He had sewn his Badge onto it, and he put it on now. He knew he would have to take it off when school started, but before and after school, and during lunch, he would be able to get the point across...

He put the traps, the tools, the dye and the powder into his satchel, and finished getting ready to leave. As he was walking out the door, he saw himself in a mirror in the hall and he couldn't help but smile. The Badge of Honor was a patch that he had sewn onto his cloak. It went about half-way down his back and it read, in English, "Lucky Thirteen" and in Japanese, "Aku'un Shonen" (bad-luck boy). He smiled again as he walked out of the door, while it was still dark out, so that he had plenty of time to do what he needed to do...

He arrived at the school long before anyone else, and got immediately to work. He found Kazuya's locker and popped it open. First he got Kazuya's sandals and coated them with itching powder, which he knew would drive Kazuya crazy all day, even with socks on. Then he filled the water balloon with the purple dye. The stuff wouldn't come out for a week, *if* he showered regularly. He set up the sling-shot thing with the latch set up so that it wouldn't launch until Kazuya opened the locker door. He placed the balloon in the slingshot and closed the door. Then he left a letter that read "Shi Anata," (4 you) and was signed "Aku'un Shonen." When Kenshin pulled a prank, he goes all the way...

He left the school again in a hurry and was still certain that no one else was there yet. He wandered the streets until the sun came up, and then headed in the general direction of the school again. By the time he got there, there was a few other people there, and he was able to be very readily noticed just entering, as he stuck out like a sore thumb, and anyone who saw him would be able to say that they did...
