I am not a manly man. I never have been.
I hate organized sports, except for Canadian women's curling once every four years at the Winter Olympics. I loathe beer. NASCAR makes me roll my eyes. The Sport's Illustrated Swimsuit issue is juvenile. Strip clubs are just depressing. Sexy college girls with big tits haven't been alive long enough to be interesting. I never wanted a really hot sports car or a tricked-out four wheel drive truck. I hate loud music. I hate loud parties. I hate going to bars. Guns are just tools, not exciting things that make me feel powerful. I don't want the newest, best, most expensive, or most impressive anything. I love cats. I think people with 'attitude' are just belligerent and rude. I think table manners are important. I like decorating rooms and arranging furniture. I have never stuck my head through the window of a moving car and hooted at a woman. The first three albums I ever purchased were "Jesus Christ Superstar", "The Best of Streisand", and "Sammy Davis jr. Live". I detest practical jokes. I feel as threatened by gay men as I do by wallpaper. I like a lot of chick flicks. I admire men, not guys. I think the purpose of humanity is not to simply use oxygen and pass on genes, but to become more than what we are.
I'm not surprised that a lot of people think I'm gay. If it weren't for the fact that I'm good at hurting people, I'd have to turn in my 'guy' card.
I think a lot of my beliefs about masculinity were influenced by a phrase from a book I read when I was young, a book that took me many years to understand. The phrase is 'a warrior who is strong enough to be tender.' (Or, to put it in 'guy' terms, "You got your growers and you got your show-ers.")
Ah, well. I'd have made a lousy gay guy, anyway. There's not a single Tom of Finland drawing that I would fit in with. (

And sometimes Jimmy Stewart in "Harvey." I always wanted to be Sean Connery or Clint Eastwood, but I think I was destined to be Judge Reinhold. But I'll leave it up to you. What actor/ character am I?
