Today has been filled with lots of cute.
First off, the most recent dinosaur comic was both quite funny, and so adorable. If you don't usually read dino comics, it won't seem quite as cute.
Today's other cute was a relatively random encounter with Dr. Hendrickson in the library today. She is heading out to some orchestral festival in Oregon tomorrow, and was tying up some things in the library before the long trip. I was also in the library, making use of a 60Gb iPod and a vast number of CDs that the library has.... Anyway, Dr. H is the sweetest person ever, she was about to leave, and hugged me, and we talked for a little while about missing and being missed by Crane, regretting never being able to plat some oboe/recorder trio sonatas and that I have to return, and that Beth will be very sad without me around (I had to laugh at that a -little-). All in all, it was a very sweet exchange, and one of the more pleasant Crane goodbyes.
I'll probably be back a few times: for Dr. Siskind's opera, possibly for Graser's Sax/Organ recital. Maybe more, if Beth comissions a piece... Hopefully these will be pleasant visits, seeing wonderful and missed people, like Beth and Nea and Dr. H and many more.
