Still moving furniture around in the flat. It's easy, since there's a couch and a bed and not much else. Full of glamour, life is. Paper's full of tragedy, but then so is living with Jediah. Bloke snores like an elephant with asthma. No use worrying either way, not really.

I didn't know elephants could get asthma. But I'm glad you're settling in alright.

(By the way, thanks for the gift. Really - it was good. And when don't presents make a person feel better? Or liquer that tastes like candy, for that matter...

and who did make it, by the way?)

Good luck with the interior decorating.

Yeah, maybe they don't. But hypothetically, if they ever did, and were reincarnated into the bodies of seventeen-year-old ex-Ravenclaw blokes, well...

(Oh -- no problem. Found some house elves in a shoppe I used to work at, asked them to bake it. Better than doing it myself, since I figure it wouldn't be a very grand gesture poisoning you or anything. Really do hope you and your family are holding up all right.)

Hey, thanks. In this case it seems to consist of making sure the walls are uniformly painted (the last people who lived here ... I don't even know what those stains were) and the dust is attractively arranged, but hey. I'm told Mandy will tidy things up when she comes over.

Ah, yeah. That explains it. You know, it'd be funny to see Jediah with a trunk.

(We are. Thank you, really. And thanks for not poisoning me, too; I appreciate that.)

What colour? Please don't tell me lime green. I don't know why I just envisioned you wanting to paint your walls lime green, but I have. And it was blinding. I'm not even going to ask about the stains.

There have been times when he thought he was a parrot, which may be the closest he'll ever get to wildlife.

(Well, anything to not poison my favourite Hufflepuff, right.)

Beige? Er, or maybe it's one of those other tan colours, like taupe or something. Lime green would definitely have added a personal touch, though I thought I was more of a neon orange person myself. I'll suggest it to Jediah. (Joke.)
I've never seen anything like them, and I spent the year patrolling empty classrooms. It's better not to think about it too much.

I won't ask, even if I sort of want to.

(Favourite, eh? I swoon!)

They all look pretty much the same. Don't think I'm not expecting to visit sometime and see a neon orange flat with lime green doors.

Probably. It's sort of like pulling a rug over dust, though. You'll always know it's there... (alright, that wasn't very cheery. Sorry)

I'm not sure the story is all that appropriate anyway, now that I look back on it in a sober frame of mind...

(Hah!)

Lime-green doors? Should the curtains be lavender with neon-blue stripes, then? Maybe I ought to be an interior decorator. For the drugged blind.

I rescind that favourite Hufflepuff decision, Black! They already haunt my waking hours, no need to scar me permanently.
