We watched
Up last night. It was really lovely. sweet and touching and funny. As a dog lover, I felt especially endeared to Doug. "I just met you, and I love you." :)
Neil was short listed for one of the positions he applied for. He took a proficiency test yesterday downtown. Felt good to him. Hopefully he'll be called for an interview soon. It's a government position, so that is always good. He also got his learners license. Most people are shocked he doesn't have a drivers, but he's never needed it. I'm lucky. I got mine the moment I could legally. Missed all the L's and N's they have now.
My dad's mother, Evelyn, my only living grandparent, is not eating. She is in the hospital. She is 95, senile, deaf, and has been living in a home for quite some time. She knows me only as an image of a 10 year old child smiling bleary eyed into the camera. I haven't seen her in a long time.
They think she may have had a stroke. They are merely easing her pain. And it doesn't look like she is long for this world. I am not sad. She lived a long life. I didn't really know her. She never tried to know me. I am more concerned for my dad and how he is doing.
I had a writing idea the other day. It came out of the blue. It's more of a theme. So I have to see where it takes me.
Gonna start Nemeth soon. (Math Braille)
