Thank goodness it's almost here. I have a three day weekend, due to my flex day, and I have lots to do.
I feel a BIG CLEAN creeping over me. You know a tie your hair in a handkerchief, put on your grubby clothes, kind of clean. Bring out all your weapons, sponges, brushes, rags, swiffers, Get in to the corners kind of clean. This weekend will be about fresh starts. And a good clean is a good way to get things going right.
Also I am going to get my Braille pretest stuff done. and mail it.
There will be a bike ride. I don't know how long I will last, but there will be a ride of some kind.
And there will be a movie. Neil and I have been on a movie binge of late. Every weekend we seem to be going to the show. This weekend we'll be seeing Angels and Demons. I've not read the book, so at least I will not know all the twists and turns ahead of time.
First it was Star Trek, which I really enjoyed, even though I expected not to. Then Terminator: Salvation. I'd never seen any of the Terminator trilogy, I had the impression of Arnold's bulging one-liners, big guns, hokey-ness. I expected this to be the same. I was not really looking forward to it. But, Salvation was incredible. It was dark and moody, and Christian Bale ate that up, he's come a long way since good old chummy Laurie. I was really impressed. He's an incredible actor, in my opinion, very cameleon-esque. But... I could be a little in love with him. for a while anyways. Until another British hunk comes along and yells the head off of some stage guy. ;-)
Ooooh speaking of British hunks. I've been watching Lost in Austen, on PBS. It was fantastic. I really loved seeing Pride and Prejudice's plot get all messed up. As much as I love that book, I am fully aware of its flaws and love it anyways, and that's the impression I got of this show. It was definitely written by a fan.
