This does not bode well...
This morning as I was driving to work, I witnessed a stupid accident. It was before an intersection. The light was red, and I was waiting for it to turn green so I could turn left.
A red car was parked in front of the 7/11, and was pulling out into the right lane. A big huge SUV, with a little tiny driver girl, was in the left lane in front of me, but because a car was turning left on to 10th in front of her, she wanted in to the same right lane as the red car.
The SUV girl didn't even look. The red car was already pulling out, saw the SUV making it's move and stopped but it wasn't soon enough, the big stupid SUV took off the front of the red car.
In case you couldn't tell, I do not have a good opinion on humongous SUV's with one tiny occupant in them. That woman had no idea of the size of what she was driving, and it was completely avoidable.
THEN, along SW Marine, close to work. at 70th avenue where the Husky station is, the whole of Marine was blocked off, 3 lanes of traffic were being routed into one lane on to 70th. all of the husky station was taped off. there was a gang shooting there last night, a man's body lay sprawled in front, and a tarp is all that covered him. There has been a great deal of gang activity in the lower mainland of late. It's frightening. I've watched the news reports, but seeing the fallout in person, is a bit more of a shock.
AND, I have to go to the dentist this afternoon. AND my hygenist is a complete sadist.
AT LEAST, I got Braille lesson 28 back, with a mark of 90%. Two more lessons to go before I can start the examinations for transcriber certification.
