This has been such an odd week. I can't remember most of it... No one day felt like the weekday it was. It's finally Friday, but it feels like a Wednesday or something...
Neil is working on our taxes. Last year, I sat down with pencil and paper and went at them old school like a kid taking a fill in the blank test. Neil's doing mine on the computer electronically. I'm scared, it's far too easy, something has to go kerflooey, from it. It's also the first year we are filing as a common law couple. as marzie said ... awww!! we're married in the taxman's eyes!! It will be interesting to see how the government punishes childless common law couples. I still need two forms, so we can't file quite yet.
Also, my car passed AirCare! Woooh! She's a good old car. So I will be reinsuring her for another year. Apparently I drove well under the average annual mileage of most B.C. vehicles. That's not surprising. I pretty much just use her to go to work, or for the odd bit of errand running. Next week my office is teaming up in a 10,000 steps challenge that the school board is running, apparently there are prizes for the winners.... Watch ti be dougnuts. Our team name is Prince Charming and the StepSisters. We have one male.
I'm feeling myself fall behind on my braille. Even though ithere's no schedule for submitting lessons, I know I should be doing more. I'd like to finish lesson 25 this weekend. And have lesson 26 done by about March 10, and then lesson 27 by the end of March. Then I will be signing up for the second phase of lessons. Hopefully I'll get those done by the summer. There are only three lessons, 28 to 30, but they are longer and more in depth. When I've completed them, I will be certified as a Braille Literary Transcriber, So I'll be able to transcribe anything but math and science. Eventually I intend to take the Nemeth code course, so that I can transcribe that math and science stuff, and finally the proofreaders course. I'm just not sure how soon I want to go into those...
