Well I've been a busy knitter yet again this month. Here's what I've created. Links go to the associated free patterns that I used.
Two more scarves for two more coworkers:
A
Columns scarf for Lulu using acrylic yarns in sea shell pink and silver. And a "
My So Called Scarf" for Barbara using super bulky thick and thin yarn, Aquarella from Malabrigo.
A
Noro striped scarf for my half-sister Lisa, made with two different colorways of Noro Silk Garden yarn. and a
Utopia cable hat in Malabrigo Worsted Merino, Paris Night colorway. It's a birthday gift for my dearest dad. :)
I managed to learn a few things, a new sort of cast on method, how to use two colorways at once (in a simple way at least). I used super bulky yarn for the first time as well. I'm really pleased in that both of my coworker scarves got great reactions from their recipients. And I am hopeful that the others will too. I'm beginning to feel like a real knitter now, not just a wannabe. But I have lots to learn still. That's kind of the beauty of this craft: There are so many avenues to go down.
