Project 11: Silken Waves Basque
Originally uploaded by OftherainI finished knitting my mom's hat last night. It was a quick knit.  It's a free Basque hat pattern, which I found through www.Ravelry.com  I casted on less stitches than required and used a size bigger needle.  For any Ravelry users here's my project link.

That's me attempting to model it, and looking all "indignant" as my dad said when I sent the picture to him. LOL. I hope it fits her and she likes the colour.  I love it so much, I have to make myself one in future, So I'm going to package it up with the scarf I knitted her earlier, and with the humbugs from Harrods that Anne gave me for her, and the tea cosy that Marzie knitted her. It's not her birthday or anything, but I've accumulated all of these things for her and I can't wait for mother's day, so they'll just be "just because" gifts. :)

Yesterday was not my best day at work, I complained a lot and was grumbling throughout the day. It's just some frustrating file complications that could mean we have to redo everything we've done, but .... ahhhhhhh!! Today I'm trying to be positive and just glad that in this economy, when so many people are struggling, I have a job and I like it most of the time. really i do.

Still, I'm glad it's almost the weekend. I have to proofread the braille lesson I did on Wednesday, get that sent off. I have two coworker's scarves, and my half-sister's scarf to get going as well. And I will try to get level 69 tailoring on my wizard so that I can make Marzie boots, hat and gloves. hehe, I knit in real life, and tailor in pretend game life. ooh speaking of pretend game life, Sims 3 is coming out soon. I want it.  I want to make a Frasier family and see if I can recreated what happened in my Sims 1 game, when Niles died because he had a break down due to the uncleanliness of his surroundings.  lol.

And also this weekend, I will read, damn it, yes I will.  Seriously.
