David and I have decided to embark on the Keto diet together. The theory of this diet is to "starve" your body of carbohydrates and feed it fat so your body is forced to derive enery from fat stores via a process within the liver.
Okay, sounds good.
Yesterday we began the meal prep process so that each week for every meal all we have to do is pull a tupperware meal out of the fridge. These meals consist of a protein (meat) and typically a side of low-carb vegetable. Today David and I both had a tupperware of bacon and eggs. Lunch will consist of chicken and peppers and onions and dinner will have broccoli and beef. That's it. No other carbs, no snacking, no beverages aside from coffee and water.
Today I weighed 140 lbs. So far (one meal into this diet) I feel okay. Snacky. I'm always snacky. Dubious about how this will work out but encouraged that we already have our meals made out. All I have to do is pull a tupperware out of the fridge and not eat anything in between. Delicious. Hopefully I don't bomb this diet and feed my body tons of extra fat without the associated reduced carb/caloric deficit and therefore develop heart disease in the process.
At least I can eat all the salt I want (haha not really).
