[Point of time in canon from which the character is taken] Riiiight about the time that they find out that pointy knives and swords combined with enclosed spaces do no tmake for a good happy-happy funtiem.
[Background info] Sakon and Ukon are ninjas and happen to be henchmen of one of the worst villains in Naruto, Orochimaru.
Sakon is the strongest of the original Four Sounds and is quite aware of that fact. Smart, violent, quite foul mouthed, and possessing a wicked temper, Sakon has arrogance to spare. He looks down on or insults nearly everyone, and he's strong enough to usually get away with it. His arrogance and temper lead him to pursue enemies and fights past where he should back off and he utterly hates to lose or give u,p But he can behave and even be semi-polite when he needs to be, as evidenced by how he talks to his teammates.
Ukon is Sakon's older twin brother and spends most of his time napping inside Sakon's body. While asleep he appears as a second head emerging from Sakon's upper back and is completely ignored. No one ever talks to or about him at all in public except when he and Sakon are intending to kill the listeners. He also never speaks or moves in front of others unless in battle. Ukon's temper and arrogance are just as fierce as Sakon's but, he's more impatient and quicker to go all out to crush an enemy.
Both brothers have identical curse seals, courtesy of Orochimaru, that give them a devilish appearance when activated to level 2. Their Sound uniform is pinkish, they wear blue-green lipstick and Sakon has a beaded necklace. Make of this what you will.
[Personality] The twins Sakon and Ukon are, to put it simply, a single soul sharing two bodies. They never act without the other’s input, never let the other come into harm without going to the end’s of the earth to prevent it, and they will never, ever, ever let anyone come between them. Sakon is more prone to outbursts of violence and mayhem than his brother is, of course, and is very blunt with how he speaks and acts, whereas Ukon is more quiet and…I don’t want to say conservative, because he's rather impatient with people, but he does seem to be the more mature of the brothers, and is, as usual in these types of relationships, the final word in whatever they do. If you were to find another pair of anime twins to compare them to, Hikaru and Kaoru from Ouran Host Club would probably be the most fitting, seeing as these pair of twins act very much like the two Host Club Members do, and seem to have a similar past. (IE, they’ve effectively built a wall between themselves and the rest of the world, and consider most everyone who isn’t them, their teammates, or someone they respect or fear as if they were trash.)
The similarities end there, however, because even though the two of them - Sakon and Ukon - seem to have grown up knowing only what it was like to be one-half of a whole, they are still sixteen year old shinobi, and their personalities reflect this. The both of them do not care about how they are seen by other people that aren’t important to them (as seen with how much Sakon silently dotes on Tayuya and Jiroubu in the series), and have had the consequences of death, murder, and knowing what you can and cannot do in an environment such as the one they’ve grown up in practically beaten into them by Orochimaru, making it so that even though they are young they aren’t stupid or naïve.
If it came right down to it, however, the twin’s personalities (and Sakon’s in particular) could be surmised a such: gaining and securing someone’s trust was tantamount to their survival in the Sound, so if you break that trust, or if hurt someone that they’ve befriended (which is, canonically, a fairly small amount of people), you’re dead. Or, if you’re too strong for them, you’re left for dead or crippled - either one is a viable option, really, seeing as the twins have no qualms with doing what needs to be done to get a point across
[Abilities] Aside from being your above-average shinobi of at least Chuunin level, the Brother's bloodline: "Souma no Kou" allows them both to break down their bodies at a molecular level so that they can merge with each other, or with other people (more on that in a second). The brothers use the primary function of this ability in conjunction with taijutsu fighting style (which seems to be a mixture of just straight out brawling and some more advanced grappling techniques) to a great effect, with one brother leaving the main body to attack an unknowing victim from a blind area, or an extra one of two arms or legs sprouting from an original at just right moment to hit the opponent three times as hard as they would normally.
The secondary level of this ability is only seen when the brothers go into their Cursed Seal level 2 forms, as as demonstrated by Ukon is can be quite dangerous. In this form Ukon (and, supposedly Sakon) can break down his body at a molecular level and fuse into the body of his victim. This assassination technique is known as Kisei Kikai, and it allows him to strategically rip apart the cells of his target from the inside out by he can freely disassemble and reconstruct these cells with his chakra. When done with the technique, he can use his power to reconstruct, though unfortunately because this fusion makes him and the ninja share the same body, he can be damaged by any harm the host body body takes if the technique is not done carefully enough.
On top of this Bloodline, Sakon and Ukon both possess a Cursed Seal on their body (Sakon on the right side of his forehead, and Ukon on the left) which enables them to enter two separate forms "Cursed Forms" (Level 1 and Level 2) that boost their already above average abilities through the roof.
[Other important facts] Sakon and Ukon share everything. Yes, everything. The concept of one of them having something that the other does not simply does not exist to them.
