☆ APPEARANCE
Firstly, Teresa is tall. She has the body of a woman who can do some damage. She's lean but muscular, and it's especially apparent on her arms, legs, and abdomen. Yet she still has curves in all the right places, leaving her with a womanly figure. Her chest is rather impressive :|b
Like all Claymores, Teresa has blond hair and silver eyes. Her hair is wavy and falls just below her shoulder blades. Her eyes tend to be a bit... shiny, which makes them silver instead of gray. Teresa has a pretty, doll-like face. And like her title says, her default expression is a faint smile. Sometimes it's hardly noticeable.
As for clothing, Teresa dresses simply. Tight leather, bracers, boots, light armor. In Paradisa, she's abandoned her organization garb, but dresses in a similar style. Her sword is with her at almost all times, strapped to her back. Near the hilt of the blade is the only thing she has that ties her to the organization--her symbol.
If anyone were to happen to catch Teresa with her clothes off, they'll be sorely disappointed if not sick to their stomach. Teresa has a nasty stigma on her abdomen. It's unknown what it looks like exactly, but it's bad. She doesn't go out of her way to hide it (she's not modest) but... catching sight of it without her knowing is all but impossible.
Teresa walks and moves like a warrior. She might sit lazily, legs crossed or knee bent, but Teresa can be intimidating. Even though silver eyes and blond hair might not be strange for some, Teresa gives the impression of something not quite human.
☆ PERSONALITY
At one time, Teresa was a cold-blooded demon hunter that did only as the organization told her. Killing yoma and scaring villagers while doing it was her life for a long, long time. Other Claymores respected Teresa for her strength, but also avoided her because of that--making Teresa a loner amongst outcasts. Her life was bland and devoid of any meaning.
What she did enjoy was frightening humans by subtly threatening them, appearing as the monster they labeled her as. Teresa was a loner--she had no friends even in the organization, as everyone's respect for the number one rank came with a healthy dose of fear as well. Teresa knows she is powerful and worthy of her rank. There is very little she fears, and it takes a lot to make her lose her cool.
Beware that Teresa does have a violent side. She enjoys bloodshed. Killing humans is taboo to her, even without the organization, but if the proper conditions are met she WILL snap.
It's easy to call Teresa distant or cold, and that used to be the truth--now it's just a front. Thanks to her interaction with Clare, Teresa is much more open with her emotions. She has a slightly more positive view of humans than she once did, but her instinct still tells her to be wary around them. She believes they're inherently inclined to be hurtful and meets this with amusement and sarcasm. Teresa likes to test people by saying strange things. If they get upset, that's her entertainment and their loss. But Teresa does have the ability to form bonds with others, and once she likes someone, she'll look out for them. She sympathizes with those who were outcast and discriminated against, very much like she was. She doesn't stand for it if she happens to see it.
She's not afraid to let people know what she is. She will flat-out tell someone she is half-monster and half-human, and let them think of her what they wish. She sees herself as more monster than human, but it's not as degrading as it might seem. She knows that she is fully capable of experiencing human emotion. Her human emotions are what keep the monster in check. She doesn't feel sorry for herself and embraces what she is--it's her way of coping. A part of her, like most Claymores, misses being human.
And she does have a faint smile on her face, 95% of the time. It's out of habit. However, it's only sincere around certain people.
☆ paradisa
Teresa has had to adjust to human contact, as well as a very noticeable lack of contempt and fear from most people. She's had more interactions in the past year than she had ever had before, and it's a little overwhelming. The fact that there are a number of people that actually care about her well-being and have gone so far as to say that they love her honestly astounds her. If she thinks about it too much, it hurts her head.
She's also come to terms with her death, and what resulted because of it. She knows that many years have passed. So she does her best to make her borrowed time worth something, even if it's just posing as a mother figure for some kids.
☆ CLAYMORES
Claymores are created by implanting yoma (monster) flesh into the flesh of humans. Yoma have the ability to disguise themselves as humans so that they are nearly untraceable within a community and able to feed freely on humans. Claymores are the only ones able to sense them. The earliest Claymores were male, but they were more difficult to control. Since then, all Claymores have been female, either orphans whose families were killed by yoma, or sold to the organization by villages. Upon having the yoma flesh implanted in their bodies, the girls lose their hair and eye color--becoming blond haired and silver eyed, defining characteristics of hybrids. All also possess some sort of stigma or scar on their abdomen that is ugly and a sign that they should be avoided. They don't actually call themselves Claymores. Humans coined the term from the giant swords they carry.
Many live solitary lives and are feared by humans despite the fact that they cannot kill them. Most live knowing that they will eventually be killed or become monsters. Once a warrior reaches her limit, she has the option of asking a friend to kill her as a human. The more power used, the easier it is for a warrior to lose control. At 10%, eyes change color. At 30%, the face distorts. At 50%, the body. Once a warrior goes past 80% it is generally the end for them and they awaken, becoming the same monsters they were made to hunt.
☆ ABILITIES
Claymores are numbered from one to forty-seven, the single digits possessing the most power. Teresa was number one--the most powerful Claymore of her time. She rarely had to release over ten percent of her power. While all Claymore can sense yoki, Teresa's ability was unparalleled. Her only visible asset was her smile, earning her the title "Teresa of the Faint Smile." Her ability was so great she could read an opponent's move by paying attention to the energy flow, thus taking action before they had even moved a muscle. This is her loss in Paradisa, but she's still a godmod :| Expect the following if you want to challenge her:
☆ Enhanced speed, reflexes, and senses: Teresa is fast. Many times, she was able to strike down others without them even registering what she did. Her eyesight, hearing, and sense of smell are enhanced--if you smell like a monster, or something else, she can probably tell.
☆ Immense strength: Her strength is insane. Humans have a difficult time wielding claymores, a two-handed sword. She can easily hold it with one hand and fight as if it were a feather. Even without releasing any energy, she can twist the hand off of an Awakened Being. She easily took down numbers two through five in the organization. I don't want to think about what it's like over ten percent :|
☆ Regeneration: She's an offensive type, meaning that her focus is on killing, not protecting herself. However, Teresa can recover from cuts, holes punched through her, and even reattach severed limbs.
☆ Temperature regulation: Cold and heat don't bother her. She can feel it, but she can also control her own body temperature so that it isn't an issue.
☆ Lack of dependence on food, water, and sleep: Teresa can go without food and water for a week and be perfectly fine. She tends to eat every few days, and only needs a few bites. Sleep is the same way. She needs all three of these things to live, but just not that often.
☆ Substance filtering: She can filter whatever enters her bloodstream, such as alcohol. If she wants to get drunk, she can. If she wants to get tipsy, she can. If she wants to be sober, she can. Good luck slipping those roofies into her drink :|
Pretty much, if you walk away from a fight with Teresa? She let you. However, there's a lot she's unfamiliar with, such as guns. She's not going to be picking fights, but she does enjoy spars and gets a thrill anytime something attacks the castle :D; But she's hesitant of exerting too much power, since the castle might find it lulzy to make her lose control.
