So I got back form the Northwoods Radical Faerie Spirit Gathering on Saturday and it was delightful. JM went with me an connected to the group in way that he only really did with a few individual faeries in DC. The land was beautiful and ridden with mor varieties of mosquitos then I was aware existed. However cloaked in a sheild of chemicals we had a great time./ The sanctuary is off the grid o everything is either gas or fire powered. I spent a considerable amount of time on Thursday filling up the gravity tanks that feed the shower and did a pysanky workshop Friday night. I met some wonderful faeries among whom Cicada, Tallgrass, Two Bears, and Monk-E were the most delightful.
Today we decided to head over to the human society and there inbetween two very noisy dogs was a quiet little german shepherd rotweiller mix. JM pssed him up but I fell in love at first sight and a half an hour later we were signing the adoption papers. We have named him Elias which is the Continental for of Eligah (Eli for short). He is the most laid back dog ever but when he wants to play he is bouncy and delightful. At nine months (which is about full grown) he stands about two feet at the shoulder and has Rotweiller coloration on a very small german sheherd body. Apparantly he came from a farm because he was trained to herd cattle. He is curled up in a ball at my feet as we speak and JM and I could not be happier abut this latest addition to the family.
I start classes at Saint Cloud State tommorow and so will be beginning my month of hell. Wish me luck.
