Heavenly Father, into your hands we place out worries for our beloved Red Sox. Let them not loose their way in their quest for the American League Pennant. Give them safe passage and lead them to victory against the Yankees.
We invoke the help of Saint Sebastian, patron saint of atheletes, and ask to keep the players safe from harm and injury. Continue their enthusiasm in this series, keep their minds sharp during the play and their bodies strong.
O Lord, it has been 86 years since since we have won a World Series. As fans, reward us for our preserverance and for KEEPING THE FAITH in our coaches and players.
