TALES OF GRACES F, U.S. RELEASE

YESSSSSSS

Edit: There is suspicion this will be a non-HD Wii version with the PS3 Future arc added in. If this is true I may cut a bitch because I have absolutely no desire to buy a Wii.

Clearly you should come visit.

If I bought a Wii that would mean I own every current-gen console, which is perhaps a little too sad even for my limits. :/

... I own every single current-gen console.

:(

The trouble is really that I can't think of more than a handful of Wii games I actually want, nor would I have the time to actually play them. I'd be buying a Wii just for ToGF which is the point where I go 'yeaah no', jailbreak my PS3 and wait for the fantrans.

FAIR. I like my Wii games while I use my PS3 for blu-ray movies.

"There's some rumored good news and bad news. The localized Wii version, which has been in development for some months, is likely to release in the first half of 2011. The game is set to have all the glitches from the Japanese versions fixed and a slew of new content- most, if not all of the PS3 bonus content. The MSRP is said to be $40, though this is tentative, and a pre-order bonus is in the works. An online arena co-op mode is being toyed with, though may not make it into the final version. Similar to the Samurai Warriors 3 and Tatsunoko Vs Capcom localization, they believe the western audience would appreciate some sort of online mode. Namco intends to use the game as a gauge to determine consumer interest in future US releases for the Tales series ( ... )

If the second paragraph is real (this is presently all still rumour), then what bugs me most is just the whole 'lol PS3? psssh maybe in 2012 if you're lucky' thing. I'll just get the fantranslation instead.

With the PS3 getting more RPGs this year and last, it seems like a natural platform to go for, especially since if they release on Wii all their translation/voicing will have already been done.

Namco has some bizarre logic going for them. I remember when they released Vesperia for the Xbox they were like OH NO GUYS THIS ISN'T A DEMO GAME IT'S COMPLETE!!

And then the PS3 version comes out with more detail/characters/etc and Namco is like lulz.

They're definitely kind of frustrating to deal with. But then I rewatch the ToGF mystic artes video and feel all better.

en.nicoviewer.info/sm12345678 (or whatever number video) works pretty nice for 'ugg no account' stuff, I find. I kind of default to that when linking people now.
