i'm bored and my face hurts. i haven't hit it, no one has hit me, but it feels like i've been punched in the eye. i can't really think of anything to do, even typing's not so great, because my arm feels like someone took it and twisted it around and up really hard. i guess most people would just say it felt sprained, but that's a concept i don't really associate with the lower part of my arms, so, mleuch.
i should put away the clean dishes and reload the dishwasher, but i don't feel like breaking glassware and then having to try to clean it up. so i'll wait for awhile and see if i feel any better, i guess. there's filing i could do, but i'm not going to try because it'll just make my arms feel worse, because of the stapling and hole-punching involved. again, mleuch...
i really want to sleep, i slept horribly last night. i rarely get good sleep. there's too much noise from kids moving around upstairs and next door for that to be an option, sadly. even worse than no nap is being startled awake from naps and having that lovely (add sarcasm to taste) feeling of my heart stopping, them shocking back to movement. that's not exactly how it feels, i don't know how to describe how it feels, though, so i guess that's close enough. and no, i don't have a defibrilator installed in my heart, so it's not actually being shocked, as far as i know.
i made a new food for joe on monday night, since he had the day off and i'd been sick saturday evening and all of sunday. it's a cool random recipe i picked up, so i'll share it for any who are interested and because i'm bored and it smells really good (even though i'm allergic to pretty much all the ingredients), and joe liked it:

Vegetable Quesadillas
1 cup sliced mushrooms (or 1 cup hamburger/meat of choice/possibly eggs)
1 tbsp. light olive oil
1 small zucchini, chopped (pretty small helps)
1/2 cup chopped yellow bell pepper
1/2 cup sliced green onions
1 medium clove garlic, minced
1 jalapeno, diced
1 medium tomato, chopped
8 (8-inch) flour tortillas
2 1/2 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend

1. In 12-inch nonstick skillet, brown mushrooms (or meat, but for eggs just cook normally) in olive oil. Add zucchini, bell pepper, green onion, jalapeno*, and garlic and cool until vegetables are tender; stir occasionally. Stir in tomato; cook 2 minutes more. Remove from heat and keep warm.
2. Over medium heat, brown one side of flour tortilla in 8-inch nonstick skillet (you don't need oil for it, i think that'd just make it go yucky). Turn over; sprinkle with 1/3 cup cheese and 1/4 cup mushroom mixture. Fold tortilla in half. Cook until browned on both sides and cheese is melted. Repeat with remaining tortillas and filling.
Serves 8
*Use caution when handling hot peppers. Wear disposable gloves or wash hands thoroughly in hot, soapy water. ---DO NOT TOUCH YOUR EYES WITH JALAPENO HANDS---

so, i've never tried many mexican recipes, but this one was really fun. i'm trying to decide which weird recipe to try out next, muahahahahahaha!!!!!! yeah, i have a bunch involving weird vegetables, and i like to try new things...provided no one makes me eat anything i cook that i'm allergic to, at least.
