(no subject)
i quit giving my cat tapwater; before assuming i'm some 'pamper the pet' freak, i just felt uneasy about giving her water that looked like it was watered down milk (blech) when it came out of the tap. we get murky spring run-off here, and since i started giving her filtered water, she hasn't thrown up once (which she'd done too many times for comfort recently; the lack of hairball traces [yes, i disect cat puke, and i wouldn't if i weren't concerned] or of her petfood being on any recall lists, and the fact that i'd been immediately disposing of excess 'human' foods ruled out the usual suspects)!!!!! it seriously comes out of the faucet looking like very very skim milk, and i even wonder if i should be brushing my teeth with it (my gp forbade me using local water for that when traveling), so, at least through the britta pitcher before giving it to the cat. she's catching up on sleep today; i felt really uchy for awhile again, and she doesn't seem to sleep when she's worried about me. or at least not good sleep. yeah, i should stop talking about stuff now...
