OBAB HAS A NEW GUITARIST!!!
Yo everyone who cares - my band, Of Blessings and Burdens, has just added a guitarist to the lineup. We are overjoyed to have Preston from Art is Lost joining our ranks, and making us pretty much unstoppable. You can look for him at shows within the next few weeks - he's a quick learner for sure.
The first question most people asked was "who quit OBAB? Who's preston replacing?" The answer is nobody. I will be putting the guitar in Preston's hands, and becoming a full-time vocalist. Ryan will still do the majority of the actual singing, while I'll continue to do the screams, and singing harmonies w/ Ry. This may seem weird to some people at first (including me) but I PROMISE you're going to love it. Come to the next show you can make it to in order to check out the amazing new live show this is going to make for.
I am absolutely overjoyed. I know Preston will fit into the OBAB family great, and I feel like a great weight has been lifted from my shoulders. For a while I've been tired of the whole guitar/vocals thing. I would prefer to do either, but not both. I would be just as happy if we had discovered Jack was an amazing vocalist, gotten a new bass player, and I had just become the guitarist for the band. I don't have to feel like I'm doing a half ass job of vocals or playing guitar anymore ... I can focus on one and be the best I can at it. I"m psyched.
