I need to know what's going on? I'm not dead, but me not knowing anything

Well, you mentioned a fonmachine. What's that? It might be similar.

Fonmachines are machines that use the six variations of fonons floating around Auldrant as power. There could be many types around, recently our world has created ones that can make copies of any object including people... and can even fly.

There are also some type of fonmachines that can read data on a portable fondisc, which could have a lot of data on it, if the one time I saw the amount of data printed out was any indication.
