Torchwood, Children of Earth, Day Five
(Oops, so I just realized that I'd never posted this...)
Previously: Children are creepy, great ball of fire, creepy aliens kill Clem, creepy aliens threaten Earth, Ianto dies.
Oh, Gwen, I just want to give you a big hug.
The kids are like drugs to these aliens?
Awww, Gwen telling Rhys about Ianto absolutely breaks my heart.
"Just take Gwen home, please. I can't look at her anymore." Oh, Jack, you're breaking my heart.
Oh, Jack, don't just give up.
Maybe Alice and the commando lady will swoop in and save the day!

I think John Frobisher is going to kill himself. Oh, god, or himself and his wife and his daughters.
Oh man, this part of the episode reminds me of the episode with Donna and the time bug and that alternate reality. *shudders*
I think the commando lady listened to Alice?

So, this is when Gwen makes the recording.
Something's going on with Frobisher's assistant. Is she planning on killing the PM? (Also, what is with this series -- both TW and DW -- and having PMs who are either bad or who fall from grace?)
Jack's grandson had better have the same ability as Jack, or this is going to get really really dark, really really fast.
So, it looks like the kid is really dead (though I'm holding out hope), and the PM is incredibly slimy.

"You look good." "I look huge." "She's bloody gorgeous." AWW, RHYS. I heart Rhys.
Wow, a little bit of continuity.
Wow. So Ianto and Steven are really dead, and Jack is running away. I'm not sure how I feel about the ending with Jack running away. I think it's a reasonable response; I just think I might have been more invested in the ending if I felt like the whole thing meant something? And I'm also more interested in the story of the people left behind, like Gwen and Rhys and PC Andy. I'll have to see where the story goes from here when Torchwood comes back.
