No Job, But A Place To Live And A Means Of Getting There

So, I've recently been rejected for the Meadville job (understandable, as I'm only going to be here for the summer) and found out that the Cambridge job is really a volunteer position marketed as a job. It will still be good experience, but makes my father angry because "gas is too expensive for charity". So I may have to cut way back on my involvement with that project.

In other news, my parents bought a new car that I can use. It is a 2007 Red Subaru Forester. I'm actually listed as a second name on the lease so that I can take over payments and buy it from them once I have a real job. It's shiny and nice and my love for it is only diminished by the fact that it took five days to purchase because Subaru believes my social security number belongs to a man in New York. That whole mess still isn't straightened out, but I finally convinced them that I was me by getting a letter from the social security administration in Meadville. I still don't know how the mix-up occurred, which upsets me. Grrrr...

And, happy days, I found an apartment and put in a security deposit and application. It's in Kent Villages, which was always MY first choice, but we visited 5 other places to appease my parents. Kent Villages won out easily, and I will hopefully have a studio apartment there starting in August. Yay!
