The Tempest (AKA How My Sister Almost Kicked Colin Morgan in the Head)

I AM BACK!!!! And thanks to some jet lag I am up at 6am after trying to stay asleep since 5am. I give up. And what better method for dealing with jet lag than to write a post about how the play was.

The Tempest was amazing! I loved it so much, it was amazing to be able to watch a live performance in the Globe, and to see Colin perform live was such an added bonus! Caroline and I were standing right against the stage which was nice. A crazy thing happened when Colin has to pop up from under the stage and jumps onto the railing of the first row of seats. We (obviously) did not know this was going to happen and were happily watching the play, when something literally ran into Caroline's legs. We had tossed all our purses and stuff at our feet and she was worried someone was trying to get our purses but luckily she held back from her automatic response to kick out or grab the person. We both looked down and there was Colin.  We both kind of stepped back and then he was gone to his position.

Unfortunately we weren't able to hang around for the stage door or meet with any livejournal friends. We were having a family reunion just outside of London that night and needed to get the first train out to make it in good time. And yeah ... I really enjoyed the play, and seeing how they interpreted the text. My renaissance theatre nerd in me was definitely having one big nerdgasm the entire time.
