faye made me some cds that ive never heard before & they sound good. i love these surprises, i love her so much i could eat her whole. but i just had a sandwich w sprouts so im not hungry anymore.
this afternoon, we walked past a building who's second story had burned last night. the water from the fire hoses had frozen into star splayed sculpture-esque icicles. it was exquisite being modest, & we probably should have stopped & stared longer but everyone's always in a hurry to get to the there theyre going. im not rushing spring, but im excited for it did i tell you ? the first day of spring marks the iranian new year. it always made much more sense to me to start each year off with spring, instead of months of winter. things should be just starting to grow on the first of the year, instead of long dead. that makes sense some.
yesterday i told mumsy i was sure i was going to be a nurse, sure of it, battlefield nurse. it's selfless & sweet & i will not be disgraced when i die. it will help me move people. when are you going to go to nursing school ? after college. she laughs. what's wrong w that ? well, most people do it as their college. but i want to get my english degree first. she laughs. ok, sweetpea, or something else belittling. im going to write poems for my patients ! then i said something else, something scheming about money bills the things that make you sick. she laughs, it's as though yr father just spit you out. pops & me both hold our breaths when we pass the cemetaries. i think weve really added some good days to our lives.
