Oh, bloody hell, you got the whole family in one day. I apologise for Scotland. That's pretty run-of-the-mill for him, but I can understand how it'd shock anyone who wasn't used to it. Tell Llewellyn that's fine for him to stay over, and--

... Lily, did you summon Russia by accident?

That's the whole family? One sister and three brothers? And I will ring Llewellyn back to tell him.

Russia? I'm not sure. He said "Ah, nazad v dome Anglii?" Or it sounded like that at least.

((google translate tells me that is "Ah, back at England's house?"))

One sister, four brothers, actually. I forgot about Sealand - Peter - but you've already met him, he's on the community as well. And well, that's not counting the Commonwealth, the in-laws, and not to mention the people that Ireland keeps collecting for herself...

... Ah. Yes, that was Russia. Good Lord, Lily, I'm sorry, I should have warned you. Sometimes when I try to do magic and it goes a little haywire I somehow end up summoning Russia for some blasted reason.

Ah! So Peter is your brother, I did wonder how you two were related... [trailing off into a stunned silence] And dare I ask how many more that covers?

It was Russia I met then? I must admit, I didn't expect any spell to work. At any rate, perhaps I should invite him back for tea since I never did get a proper answer last time....

Go and look at an old map of the British Empire, add in anything that once belonged to Portugal or France, and you should have covered my entire extended family, give or take a few odds and ends. Occupational hazard of being a former empire.

Mmm, it might be better not to. Russia isn't exactly well-liked by many of us. His mind snapped around the time of the Russian Revolution, and well, he's never really been the same since, even after the USSR collapsed...

[After she's dug around his house for a map or book about the British Empire...] Arthur... your family is massive! Any family reunion you might have would be... I almost feel it would be utter chaos, with so many people-- nations, I should say-- in one place!

Oh! The poor dear.... It's no wonder he's not quite the same, if he doesn't have many friends, I just might-- hang on a moment. The USSR collapses?

Chaos is right. Port - Portugal, that is, often jokes about having to bring a mop to clean up any blood, but half the time I feel that's a rather accurate description of any family reunions.

Oh blast it, I forgot you were from the 70s... well, the cat's out of the bag now, so yes, it does.

Oh dear... it's a pity your family can't get along better.

Well, I certainly won't go telling anyone on my return to my proper body. I'm sure that's not the first surprise about the future I'll get here.

It's somewhat of an occupational hazard of being one of us, really.

No, I imagine not. I remember being on her during the early 40s. Life where this place was concerned was one giant spoiler.

By 'her', I assume you mean the community. But yes, I can agree being on it has been nothing but "one big spoiler", as you put it. I'm almost afraid to turn on the telly in case the news spoils me further.

... oh, blast it, I meant "here". Sorry, the ink smudged. How embarrassing.

Mmm, it might be better to avoid the television, yes. Although in all fairness, you are in one of the worst houses for avoiding spoilers at the moment, given that you're currently the nation.

It's alright, don't worry about it. I don't suppose you've written with a quill and ink lately, have you?

That's great... really great. I don't even have any school books I can read to while away my time.
