Even Minsc could get bored shooting marshmallows.

So he figured it was time to drop in on someone he hadn't dropped in on in a while.

"Sir Mohinder!"

Mohinder flipped over a red seven after his mun woke up and looked up. "Sir Minsc. It's good to see you."

"And you, Sir Mohinder! I am not interrupting, am I?"

[offthelisthero]

"Nothing important," Mohinder said, gathering up the cards. "Workshops are easier to plan than classes, aren't they?"

[berserkerminsc]

"There's no writing!" Minsc said, quite jubilantly in agreement.

[offthelisthero]

Mohinder couldn't help but grin a bit at that. "And going well despite that?" he asked.

[berserkerminsc]

"Because of that, my good sir!" said Minsc, grinning happily. "I rather like teaching just rangering! And what is it that you are expanding the younglings' brains with this time around?"

[offthelisthero]

"Logic and reasoning," said Mohinder. "I live in hope, though probably in vain, that there's some sense behind it all; and am trying to pass on some of that thinking to the students."

Minsc considered this for a little bit, and then, his face frowning in thought, he shook his head.

"I never did buy very much into that whole logic business," he said.

"Cause and effect?" suggested Mohinder. "My world - if not the people in it - generally follow consistant, rational rules. Fandom, and I guess your home doesn't?"

[berserkerminsc]

"Oh, well," said Minsc, "cause and effect, in that I swing my sword, you die, or it's evil, so I kill it, that I am okay with! But people try to make it so much more complicated than that."

[offthelisthero]

"There isn't a chace that I dodge your sword swing? But, yes, the more variables you include the more difficult things get to predict," said Mohinder. "Especially when people are involved."

[berserkerminsc]

"There is a chance," Minsc allowed, before giving a proud, sharp grin. "But not a very good one!"

[offthelisthero]

"Not good as one in ten or not good as one in a thousand?" Mohinder asked, consideringly. "Not that I plan to have to find out!"

[berserkerminsc]

"Or one in a bajillion!" said Minsc, which was probably not true, but this was an area in which he had absolutely no sense of sheepish restraint.
