It totally is. It's got all the pretty colours and quirkyness of Amelie and the strange but weirsly awesomeness of Dr Seuss and the childlike shiny with an edge of sinister that is Roal Dahl. I kind love it a lot.
And YES to all three of those things. Roald Dahl owns me. The BFG is the very first proper book I ever read all by myself was I was 5ish. He basically introduced me to the wonderful experience of reading books [and then along came JK Rowling when I was about 6/7 to make me fall harder] but Roald will always have a huge piece of my heart.
I love all of those and I think that Danny Champion Of The World gets ignored more than it should because it's awesome too. Then Fantasic Mr Fox and The Twits and JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH and my love for Roald Dahl knows no bounds.
As for Dr Seuss I have this huge soft spot for it because my mum used to read them to me because she loved them. The cirus one (I r failboat and forgot the name) was always my favourite.
So IN CONCLUSION you need to watch Pushing Daises. It's probably one of the prettiest and most original shows on American Televison.

I didn't watch that (I must get 'round to it at some point) but I did watch Wonderfalls which was adorable and Bryan Fuller is kind of wonderful.
