Ok. I'm writing again.
The last couple days were awesome and totally sad at the same time. (Is that possible?) Anyway, I got up the day of the master class with Phillipe Quint and went to rehearsal around 9:45. We didn't start rehersing till 10:00 though because part of our quartet came late. It went pretty well but we were all anxious to play it on stage for real. In the middle of rehearsal Mr. Fomin came running in right behind me. Since I had my back to the door it scared the crap out of me and I was like "Aaahhh!" It was so funny that we all started laughing so hard that we were crying. He helped us for about fifteen minutes and then left. We were all pretty tense for the rest of rehearsal though, because we never knew if he was right outside listening or not. :-)
At 11:00 I had to leave and go to a lesson with Mr. Fomin. He wanted to go through the Beethoven before the masterclass. I have been looking for a bow (since mine is kind of crappy) so I was pretty excited when Mr. Fomin let me use his for the masterclass and that nights performance. I absolutely fell in love with it but Mr. Fomin said it wasn't for sale. I was bummed. I went and showed Rick Molzer so he could take measurements and maybe find one like it. Hopefully I get lucky.
I went and ate lunch and slept for about half an hour and then came back to warm up for the master class.
It went really well. I was pretty nervous because I freak out when I play in masterclasses, but once I got through the piece it was awesome and I learned a ton. Since it's the "Spring" Sonata, Quint was asking me what I thought of when I think of spring. Well naturally I said normal things like green trees and flowers etc. Well I must not have come across very normal to him because he thought I said cream cheese and flour. It was so funny I almost died. hahaha I'm still laughing. Ok anyway, he told me all kinds of stuff and made some really good points. Deffinately worth the nerves. After it was over we all went and talked to him and got pictures and stuff. Valerie came up and was like "OMG! Hes sooo hot." So we worked it out where I asked to get a picture with him and then told her to be in it too so that she would be happy. haha
After that I was really tired so I went and ate dinner and then hung out at the dorms for a while till we had to be back at Sage. Our quartet warmed up and then we went back stage and waited. We played last in the first half. I think it went really well and we were all happy with it. After the concert Valerie came up and brought me a rose. It was so sweet of her. (thanks again Val!) I'm drying it so I'll have it for longer. We all took lots of pictures and then we had to say goodbye to Valerie, Scott and some others. It was sad but at least we will see each other again pretty soon.
Chloe, Byron and I walked back to the dorms and half way there we decided we were hungry. So we stood in the middle of the parking lot trying to decide whether Byrons goldfish crackers would suffice. He was rolling his eyes like "why can't girls ever make decisions!?" ha ha Finally we decided that we had to have sugar so we ran back to Sage tryng to beat the doors being locked. We made it just barely. We were like YYAAYY!
We had been victorious. Anyway, we got food and then headed back to the dorms for the second time. I decided to stay the night so I slept in Chloes room and we just hung out and talked to people on line and then went downstairs and watched the end of "The Butterfly Effect". What a crappy piontless story! It was totally gross and the ending sucked! Sorry. I'll calm down.
We finally went to bed at like 3:30 and slept till 9:00. I went to breakfast with my mom and some friends at 10:00 and then came back to say goodbye to Byron and some other people.
Everbody went downtown and I went back and slept and ate dinner. (Thats seems to be what I'm good at lately.") ha ha.
Then I met everybody (everyone left that is) at the bus and we headed up to the tent. Chloe and I had talked about animals and stuff earlier that day and I told her I wanted a baby monkey for a pet. Yeah I know I'm weird. haha Well, while she was down town she saw a beanie baby monkey and bought it for me. So sweet!! I was so excited! (Thanks again Chloe! Your a sweetie!)
We watched some of Chloe's anime on the way to the tent.
I didn't get to finish it so chloe let me borrow it. (I'll bring it back to you when I come to Dallas 'K' Chloe?)
The concert that night was outstanding. It was Phillipe Quint playing the Mendlessohn Concerto. It was incredible. I was like "Whoa! And I took a masterclass from that guy!?"
We all went back to the dorms and hung out till I had to leave. It sucked cuz then I had to tell everyone goodbye. I hate having to leave after becoming such good friends! ~Tear~
I miss everybody sooo much now. It sucks without you guys!
Oh well at least I'll see most of you in NY.
The next morning I had a lesson and then we drove home. Its good to be home but I'm kind of in a slump now cuz It was such an awesome three weeks.
Thanks to everybody who made it sooo cool!!
Love you guys!!
