Last night Steve and Bekka came over to help reinstall my gutters as well as food/game night. Since as usual Steve didn't inform me he had a showing at 6pm, I figured I'd get to work on the garage gutter since I could lift it myself. Not too bad putting it back on, only bent one of the spikes and only put a few dents in it. Who cares since it's in the back of the garage and no one will see it. I snapped the chalk lines for the front gutter and waited for everyone to show up. We put the gutter up on the holders I nailed to the fascia, then the nightmare began. I think every other spike bent. I put lots of dents in the gutter too. I got sick of working on it really quick, so I still have more spikes to drive in. Long story short, I'm going to have at least that piece of gutter replaced next spring.
My car started making a funny noise in the front left about 1.5-2 weeks ago. I thought it might be the brakes since I used really crummy Wearever rotors. Right before or maybe right after divisionals I determined it was my wheel bearing. Perfect timing since there's another event this weekend. So I forked out $250 to have the shop fix it. They charged $88 for the part, when I could have gotten it from Mazda for $23. Nice markup. Oh well, now I know what to expect when the other side starts making noise, which will probably be in the next 12 months. Good news is Greg will be back in action this weekend. He detonated his Cobalt SS transmission about a month ago and said to hell with GM. He traded it in for a Mustang GT and has been MIA since. Side note I have been consistently around 93% of PAX times, which is great considering I've been using street tires and not competition tires.
We tried
this recipe last week and it was fantastic. This week I am trying out
a southern potato salad and
sweet potato pancakes
