ATELIER-PIERROT/Chantilly Fashion Show

On June 11, 2011 collaboration between two popular Lolita brands was presented to the attendees of A-KON. Designers Fumiko of Chantilly and Yuko Ashizawa of ATELIER-PIERROT set out months before the convention searching for models. They received many applications, but could only choose a limited amount of girls to become models for that day.
The lights dimmed and the sound of falling rain filled the ballroom signaling the start of the show. The only sound that could be heard was the rain. The audience watched in silence as if not to want to ruin the tranquility the music added as each model walked on stage. For the first half of the show, the models were showing the beautifully made dresses from ATELIER-PIERROT. Ms. Ashizawa's idea with her dresses was to show that gothic Lolita wasn't just dark and grungy, but also had an inner beauty.
