D'espairsRay World Tour 2010 "Human-Clad-Monsters", 2010.9.9. at SHIBUYA-AX
HIZUMI: "I am happy we could do this today!"
It has become somewhat of a tradition for D'espairsRay to gather their fans on September 9th, the day they apparently came up with the name for the band and marking their anniversary, at SHIBUYA-AX in Tokyo.
That night, too, on September 9th in 2010, their fans had come to the venue in great numbers and waited excitedly at in front of the stage, which was veiled with a large white screen. As the lights when out, a full moon could be seen, shining mysteriously. A scenes like from a medieval movie flashed...the impressive figures of dark horses...until a dark voice defined the words "Despair" and "Ray", the contrast of those two term echoing in the hearts of the audience with the music of D'espairsRay. The band members were then shown one by one: TSUKASA, ZERO, Karyu and HIZUMI, each of them causing a storm of cheers. At last, a double-winged door opened, revealing a large, elegant room...the curtains fell at the opening tunes of "BORN". The stage was set up equally as elegant with a chandelier hanging from the ceiling and candles burning all around the stage.
ZERO and Karyu, who where both standing on carpets in their spot strummed the tunes of the first song of that night. Lights flashed ever so often, deepening the mysterious atmosphere of this D'espairsRay signature song.
