What does LAPD stand for, exactly?

The Los Angeles Police Department.

[She doesn't relax, but having someone respect the job she's here to do is pretty big and important.]

[Carla has an excellent game face. It comes from dealing with crack addicts and prostitutes and people who are illicit lawbreakers. It also comes from looking someone in the eye when they've been bitten by a zombie and know-for a fact-that they are about to die.

I'm fairly certain I should be dead yet, from what I hear, this place is like a detour of sorts.

That's what I was told. Rather then passing go and collecting 200 dollars you're taken directly to jail.

Honestly, it's far from what I'd consider a jail, but I'm not about to complain about it.

I've seen prisons where meals are whatever is unlucky enough to crawl into the cell with you.
