Um. So, yeah, that was, uhhh....effing awesome!!!
I'm just going to go over the highlights b/c...i can't think right now. My brain is dead. Dead. Here goes:
-Schrute bucks. Stanley nickels and Schrute bucks.
-Fancy New Beesly. Karen's "Pam's kind of a bitch" took me aback, though i'll admit i wasn't surprised. I'm still glad that Pam stood up for what she said. She is truly holding her head up high. So happy for her!
-Michael and Jan. Their love just...sheesh. But i am so happy they're back together again. They are so much fun to watch. Though Michael didn't seem to excited that Jan was going to start wearing stretch pants and waiting until he got home at 5:15 =P LOL!
-Jan's boob job. Excuse me, boob enhancement. My mom had that theory about the "big" thing that would happen w/ Jan and i can't believe she was right! I never thought about that. So crazy but so hilarious that that's what swayed Michael. Though i guess i shouldn't be surprised, ha ha.
-Pam yelling at everyone to stay and listen to Dwight's presentation. Totally took me by surprise but i loved it. Go, FNB!
-Dwight and Pam's salute to each other. Job well done, secret assistant to the regional manager.
-Creed's "swing low, sweet chariots" comment was....oh, Creed cracks me up. Also, his blog...or Word document w/ an address at the top. So funny!
-Dwight's fantasy of co-owning a bed and breakfast w/ Satan and earning a salary of $80,000. Hilarious!!
-I'm not a huge Jim and Pam fan. I kind of gave up on them a while ago. BUT...that ode to Office Olympics had be squeeing like a little fangirl. That whole scene was so touching. Just another scene that proves how amazing John is. Talk about pulling at the heart strings. When he saw her note, his face was perfect.
-And YES, Michael didn't get the job!!! I was so happy to see him back! I did NOT want Michael leaving so this was perfect.
-Finally, the moment that i was absolutely shocked about: Jim asking Pam to dinner. Seriously. I did NOT expect that. I'm so excited to see their friendship renewed. And i'm being completely honest here, but i feel extremely bad for Karen. They were so cute together in NY and it's really sad that they've broken up (i'm right, right?). Though...Karen didn't get the job. So where is she then? She's coming back to Scranton, correct? Now that's going to be awkward.
-Oh, and i'm super depressed about Ryan getting the job. AND breaking up w/ Kelly! I am NOT happy w/ that. I hope this doesn't mean Ryan will be gone from Scranton for good. I expect to see his smart ass next season! On second thought...i'm sure he'll be back next season (he is one of the main characters) and, after much thought, this provides hilarious storylines between him and Michael. I mean, he'll be Michael's new boss. This is going to be great!
My favorite quote/conversation of the episode (and now one of my favorites of the series):
Dwight: Jim, Jim, Jim. Jim, Jim, Jim, Jim, Jim, Jim, Jim.
Jim: Oh, hey, Dwight.
Dwight: I'm going to be your new boss. It's my greatest dream come true. Welcome to the Hotel Hell. Check-in time is now. Check-out time is never.
Jim: Does my room have cable?
Dwight: No. And the sheets are made of fire!
Jim: Can I change rooms?
Dwight: Sorry, we're all booked up. Hell convention in town.
Jim: Can I have a late check-out?
Dwight: I'll have to talk to the manager.
Jim: You're not the manager? Even in your own fantasy?
Dwight: I'm the owner. The co-owner. With Satan.
Jim: Okay, just so I understand it. In your wildest fantasy, you are in Hell. And you are co-running a bed and breakfast with the devil.
Dwight: Yeah, but I haven't told you my salary yet.
Jim: Go.
Dwight: $80,000 a year.
Overall, freakin awesome. I could not have been happier w/ this season's finale. I am going to have serious withdrawals. Someone hold me.
