I've been busy with D2's car overheating, her graduation this weekend, and D1 returning from Nebraska for a visit (and I'm really far behind on reading what everyone's been up to, sorry). But today, from the first compactor replacement to D1's airline horror stories (and you thought those reports on TV were just exaggerations, oh no--they're on their way in from Detroit in a rental Kia because the next flight to Buffalo was sometime tomorrow, maybe!), it was an epic tale of assbackwards karma, anger management gone horribly wrong, and enough fuckups where hilarity ensued. But I'm finally back home, I gotta get up early to get the Sebring in for service, and, well, if I hide under the covers fast enough, the asteroid that is just waiting to end my wonderful day won't notice I'm here and go away.
Anyhow, here is one reason I love this place. Given the recent attention given to Tim Russert and his run-of-the-mill South Buffalo ordinariness, here's another example of the attitude of the City of No Illusions from today's Buffalo News Buzz column:
