I choose alcohol.

The other night we went to the Apollo Theater to see "Man on Fire". You know, the new Denzel one (oh god his face is so symmetrical...).

The thing about the Apollo is that we pay 2 bucks to see these movies in an 80 year-old theater with insane asylum walls. It doesn't matter if the movie is good or not, just as long as the experience is entertaining.

So at one part in the movie, Creasy (Denzel) is sitting alone in his room getting ready to start his nightly alcoholism. So he reaches for the whiskey, but then he sees the Bible, just sitting there. So he's got to choose between God or sweet, sweet liquor.

Obviously, he puts the bottle down and picks up the Bible. The theater erupts in applause, because it is quite clear to all of us that he made the right decision. The Apollo was mostly full of us young, belligerent(and for some, half-drunk) college students. But there were two middle-aged women that I noticed behind me right after Creasy's revelation that clearly did not seem happy about our contribution to the movie.

Needless to say, these women were nowhere to be found when the credits finally started to roll. I was about to feel bad, but then I realized that they only paid 2 bucks for it.
