being a dumbass
so last night i did the dumbest thing i've done in as long as i can remember.
aarod the gayrod came over to get his bass gear out of our failed attempt at a jam room (fuck my neighbor). i followed him to his house to help him unload it because it is a lot of gear for just one person. so when i get home i see a wrapped up newspaper in my driveway. so i park my car and grab some trash that was laying around in my car and then go to get the newspaper from the driveway. i take the newspaper from the plastic wrapping and throw it away in my outside trash can along with the trash from my car. it makes a loud thud and i stopped to wonder "gee why would that light stuff make a loud thud??" i was stoned so i just said "fuck it i'm not going to look all in my trash at night" so i go inside and go about my business and go to bed.
this morning i wake up and get ready for work and when i'm leaving i can't find my ipod. i figure i just left it in my car like i do sometimes so i go out to my car and it's not there. then it hits me like a ton of bricks on my ball sack. i go to the trash can and in disbelief tilt it over to see to the bottom and there, laying halfway in a puddle is my ipod. i seriously almost cried, but i was too furious with myself. ever since i can remember i've had a tendency to have something in my hands and then just set it down or do something with it without even thinking about it. i also had my ipod in my hands when i was throwing away the trash.
i had that ipod since valentines day 2004. it was great to me. i just filled all 20 gigs up this year. now all of the music from the first 26 years of my life is completely lost. now you might be thinking, "don't you have cd's of at least some of the music on there?" the answer is : NO dumbass! read my last entry. i lost all of my cd's when my house flooded during hurricane ike along with the hard drive that i had all the music backed up on.
today the music died for me.
i am now officially saving for a new ipod.
