+ Sometimes the world works the way it was supposed to. I thought I couldn't buy tickets to Inception yesterday because the theater was being annoying. But no! The universe was telling me, "No, you dummy! Don't you know that tomorrow is Trivia Night at Rope!? You can't miss this!! You can watch Leonardo DiCaprio pretend to be Edward Norton some other time!"

+ Also - Triva! Tonight! At Rope!! One of the best things you can do with your brain for $2!

+ This made me lol my face off this morning. (and is dedicated especially to shackledangel)

+ It's the future! I was able to take an ebook out of the library yesterday!

- However, despite a truckload of article-reading and downloading three programs, it won't work with my kindle. *sigh* I need some geek-help, seeing as how there's no legal way to read this on my kindle, I have to crack the DRM in order to read my ebook on my ebook reader. ::facepalm:: Still, knowing what I know about publishing's old guard, this unfortunately makes perfect sense. Of course, I can't do this, so this entire thing has been an exercise in futility.

- The photographer hunt continues. I found a couple of possibles that were eliminated due to the fact that they were jaw-droppingly expensive. There are a few others who seem promising in my price range that I'd like to speak to further/see more from. The guy I spoke to last week, who is a friend of a friend and a cool guy who gave us a good rate said that it's to be expected. I like him, but I'm going to have to see some of his more "artistic" stuff. He said that anything is achievable through photoshop, but to paraphrase something teany said recently, "you can't photoshop talent." So I need to see more from him before I decide. (I just found an awesome one in my price range, but she lives in Idaho. *facepalm*)

+/- for some reason bad usage enrages me. I can handle the occasional misspelled word, but the wrong version of its/it's makes me see red (it's is a contraction of IT IS, and should only be used in that case. Otherwise, use its.) And don't even get me started on misuse of the apostrophe. 's refers to ownership. I can not tell you lately how many times I've seen this done wrong. If your'e referring to more than one burger, it's burgers, not burger's, unless you are describing perhaps the burger's bun. I can forgive mistakes if someone speaks a few other languages besides English and occasionally forgets little syntax issues. But if you're a native speaker? FAIL.

+/- as seen on twitter: I saw a woman while I was out at lunch today that looked like Hollie Hobbie as a Chav. Seriously. She had an orange tan, giant gold aviator sunglasses, designer bag, giant bright pink acrylic nails, tacky gold and diamond name necklace, but with a floppy blue calico peasant dress and cowboy boots. Probably the best fashion disaster I've seen in awhile, but someone walked in front of my surreptitious camera phone pic. *sigh*

+/- I gave into my baser instincts and had a burger for lunch. I now feel like I had a massage, so it's kind of a win.
