My House Smells Amazing
Holy crap, this weekend was the weekend of productive, but I still managed to sneak some relax time in.
I put away pretty much all of my summer stuff and took out the winter things. I still have the closet to organize, but after doing the laundry yesterday as well as my massive re-org project (every drawer I possess, and my makeup, tyvm) I didn't have the spoons.
I spent the first half of today on the couch like a zombie. Then after waking up from a nap at 1 (I was up at 7:30 thanks to a douchebag who continuously blared his horn for half an hour outside my window. I will soon be purchasing some rocks and a slingshot in case this happens again.) I went to the supermarket, picked up a few odd supplies, then came home.
I made a frigging awesome-smelling apple pie. It was a lot easier than I was expecting it to be. I spent some time this morning deciding between recipes in How to Cook Everything, The Joy of Cooking and The Fanny Farmer Cookbook. I love having choices, what can I say. Fannie Farmer won, only because it was the most straightforward. Pie came out decently, I have to say.
Mostly I'm proud of myself for using up so very many of my csa vegetables. I made squash gratin yesterday (plenty left over) and it's amazing.

Someday I'll write a post that's long, thoughtful, coherent and clever. Maybe. Someday.
