While I can't speak for other worlds, in Auldrant we celebrate the "new year" in the middle of winter, shortly after the longest night. It's a bit different from the way things work here...but regardless, I am curious as to how many other worlds share a similar tradition.

It's true, we rarely celebrate anything here.

That's too bad. I know I haven't been here long, but I've already heard about a couple holidays other worlds celebrate - Thanksgiving and recently something called "Christmas". They seem like they'd be a lot of fun.

I know, but still... [The beginning of a protest over here. In Sheridan, sand is an everyday (unintentional!) condiment, and you cook on the fly (sometimes literally). But for parties you expect something a little nicer, don't you? And he doesn't want to just bring in some kind of cooked vegetable again.]
