[There's a message written under a filter directed at those living in House One, save for Anise. The handwriting is distinctly Ion's, but looks a bit messier than usual. Of course, writing a message like this was already rather unusual for him.]
I'll be staying with Luke for the next few days. I'm sorry for the short notice, but it couldn't be helped.
[Something else is added on the bottom that has been scratched out to the point of being illegible, with something else written below it.]

Luke is fine. There's nothing to worry about.
[Written quickly, aaaand then the journal is getting closed. It might take a little bit for the guilt to make him check again... you know, like a few minutes.]
[That reply stays there for about an hour before he comes back and crosses it out. His writing looks normal now, but he's still keeping the camera covered.]
[That 'No' comes as quite the surprise. So much so that she leaves the journal alone for a while, not coming back until long after he has changed the message.]

I'm sorry.
[And that's the last message he leaves, sometime in the middle of the night, before he starts ignoring his journal for the next two days. He's had more time to calm down... more time to think about things. Which really may or may not be a good thing for him.]
[On the night of the 14th, she'll find a quick message under a strong filter.]

Please keep an eye on Anise for me.

We'll be here when you are ready to return, then.

[It's only for a moment, but if Nephry catches it, she'll see his eyes are red.]
Thank you.

[Sometimes you're not supposed to notice.]

[It isn't until a few more minutes pass that he finally replies:]
I'll try.

[It's so hard to convey in writing what she could if she were speaking - that it's not just superficial words. That she's worried.
After a minute or two, she decides she has to try anyway, and makes a filter.]
Will you tell me what happened?

I'm sorry. I don't think I can today.

Yes, Ion?

I want to tell you what happened. Unless you've already heard. [Or already guessed... though he'd still like to talk about it regardless.]

[She's thought of a few possibilities.]
Do you want to write it here? Or would you rather speak in person?

It would be easier to write.

That's up to you. Whenever you're ready.
