Well, about two years ago or so (actually, I think it might be longer!) I was gifted with some lovely Photoshop software. Graphics were always something that I had an interest in but never really pursued (I was more of the writer.) As I started to become familiar with the PS program, friends suggested I start doing graphics for some of those stories (thanks nightrider101 for being my guinea pig at the beginning of all of this.)

Hence, why I signed up to do art for my very first Big Bang! :] Hello spn_j2_bigbang!

I was a little nervous going into all of this, I still am actually because while I may not have participated in a BB before, I have read hundreds of them over the years...and the SPN fandom is so vast with so many talented folks.

Anyways, below is my artwork for a fabulous Jensen/Misha AU story called Helix Continuum by paleogymnast. I was so excited to get this story, as it was a continuation of one of my favorite works from last years BB. Thank you so much for writing such an amazing story and creating a fabulous world that I was allowed to play in for a while. *nervously awaits the next installment*

Headers/Banners:

One of the themes that you will see repeated throughout the graphics is the use of DNA- for me this was always in the back of my mind, given the revelation about the Markers/Naiians. I tried to do something different with each piece, try a new technique as well.

A lot of the graphics have a very gritty/dirty feel to them, befitting the situation throughout most of the story. Jensen takes quite a whumping, but for the scene this represents, I wanted him to look like he has been through the wringer but also relieved as he is finally getting to spend time with Misha as just Misha and not as Colonel Collins.

Colonel Collins and Captain Ackles in their ORDA finery. (Fresh baked cookies to anyone who can correctly tell me who the models for Jensen/Misha are and what SciFi fandom they come from.) :)

Finding pictures of Misha (not Cas) being serious is hard business. I got a copy of this scene a few days ago and I immediately knew it needed to be done. It is so compelling, the depth of emotions the two boys have with each other.

Jensen (okay, Dean) is so pretty when he sleeps. I've been re-watching a lot of SPN lately and I've noticed we get quite a few scenes of Dean asleep...not that I mind. I believe this is the only graphic I've made so far that does not have some representation of DNA on it.
