Aw. Sol actually giving a lesson to little Ky is cute as hell. It's a shame that it happened because of a mass suicide.
Just wondering. I think it was in "Heaven isn't enough" *which is dead, dunno why* where I read that Ky engraved 'Hope' in his belt because some soldiers died in his name. Sacrificing their lives to save his, if I recall correctly.
I can't say if it was really there because as I said before, the page is dead.
I think it gnaws on him, too, that a 14-year-old kid thinks he has to fix Sol's mistakes.
Honestly, this is the first time I've heard of it, so I have no idea where it cropped up or why. Can't find it on any of my main sources, but eh. XD I admit my willingness to comply with stuff that's considered GG canon is directly proportional to how much sense it makes and how IC it is, so I tend to avoid sources like the manga or the novels. *laughs*
Thank you. :) I like to think of the "hope" inscription as a more generally symbolic one that's not necessarily tied to an event so much as it's tied to Ky's realization that he really has to do everything to give the world hope.
Thank you for finding it again. Though... geez. Every member of the Order gets a word on their belt? Like the Planeteers? Way to ruin something cool and special, canon. I am going to thoroughly ignore this. *IGNORE BUTTON*
(Though if that is really true, you can bet what Sol's first choice for a word was. Ky: CHANGE IT. CHANGE IT NOW. Sol: No sense of humor. >:P)
I don't mind info, but by the time Overture rolled around, I decided that I would take a very pick-and-choose approach to writing GG fanfic. Guilty Gear has a lot of really cool ideas that I love, but an about equal amount that I feel makes very little sense and/or is completely overdone. So I hope my approach is understandable. XD

But that doesn't matter anyway. Great job :)

Oh my, I actually found the page. It seems Sol-aria closed, and know it's in Iris-noir, over here: http://iris-noire.org/ky/wisdom.php?x=hope
There's a lot of information there, because it's a fanlisting and I think is a good page. But you're the boss here, you tell me XD
