Indeed, Bardo and Rai has a lot of communication issues in-game, but I'd like to believe that they used to be very close... something like how your fic portray. After all, the stronger the love is, the stronger the hate becomes... and both love and hate are just two sides of a coin, easily flipped.

Rai's return to his house was just heart-wrenching. ;_; Haha, I like how Bardo's trying to fit in a role as a guardian/mentor and Rai's interest in... well, dangerous, sadistic stuff. 8D

Me, too. I like to think that the main reason for their break is the fact that Bardo felt inept at communicating important things, and Rai, at this point, was already too damaged to even understand himself.
